What's happening?

Let me tell you!

Absolutely nothing!

Well... No news from here. Nada! We've had some rough days, some god days and some just "days".

Days... A a lot of time still to go as it seem...

The world are still more or less in lock down. We are unable to move out from Chile. Even if we could. No country nearby have open borders... We just have to stay put as it seem.

So here are some pictures. No more... As nothing really has happened lately... Small projects being done. Small hikes being done...

Pretty much sums it up...

... and yeah! To give some further information about the situation down here. ParPar, an Australian boat arrived about 20 days ago. They were traveling within Chile when all borders locked down. Meaning they are well WITHIN Chile and done all paperwork etc. When arrived here they were told that they pretty much have two options.

1) Go back to were they came from (even if within Chile!) - an option that would take them another 2 months... So not really an option.

2) Wait here on anchor until anything changes - Which can take months...

So we have been helping them out just in the same way as Igor (on the yacht Kotik did for us - The least we could do after our quarantine time!) . "Pass it forward" kind of way!

So we are quite good off anyways...

Yeah.. Pictures it was. Here you go!

This one I like to call "Bird in Quarantine"

I have a hate / Love relationship to that buoy! We were stuck on it for some time.. But had a great view at many times!

Like... Many great views!

This is the Yacht club "Micalvi". Pretty much a grounded big boat that everyone rafts up to. Not us. We are still on a buoy. Different buoy though... But buoy nonetheless!

The first look in the morning...

Remember that dead whale? ... Still dead!

This is Puerto Williams... Well protected. A small Navy town really. 2000 inhabitants. 2/3 is navy personnel. Not really a town...

Off for adventures in the early morning...

Early morning sun in fantasy forest... or just Chile...

Someone enjoy themselves more than others...

just a normal viewing point rest... climbing upwards is not the "sailors way"...!

Getting higher means colder, means snow... what happened to those beaches and warmth...?

Yeah, thats right! That's Micalvi again!

Made it to the highest peak in the world.... Ehm.. Or just a peak in Chile. Yes, it was higher than expected. Yes, it was exhausting. Yes it was cold. Yes, we did not stay for long...

"When are we heading back to the "warmth" again?"

Warming ourselves with a little Asado (Barbecue!)

Weirdly to say, this is a normal morning view... Colder than it looks though...

That's it. Took forever to upload pictures. Had to reduce them to even get it to work. Hope it gives some ideas!

Next blog. "How to catch King crabs from the Dinghy" ... Or something else. We'll just have to wait and see. Don't we?
